Francisco Jeronimo

Francisco Jeronimo is Vice President for Data and Analytics at IDC EMEA, based in London. He leads research across mobile and personal computing devices, emerging technologies and circular economy trends in the EMEA region. He delivers strategic insight and analysis into the performance of key industry players. In March 2025, he delivered a powerful TEDx talk on the circular economy, highlighting how consumers can drive sustainability by embracing refurbished devices. With 25 years of experience in the IT and telecoms industry, Jeronimo has worked across Japan, Finland, Portugal and the UK. Prior to joining IDC, he led LG’s mobile devices business in Portugal, collaborated with major mobile operators, and managed the distribution network for the country’s largest mobile phone distributor. He also launched two start-ups and held consultancy and project management roles in mobility across multiple industries. His career began in 1998 at Nokia’s R&D Centres in Japan and later Finland. Jeronimo is a frequent commentator on mobile technology trends, featured in leading international media including the Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal, The Economist, CNBC TV, Bloomberg TV, Reuters, and the BBC.
